Scott started serving at Encounter Church in 2014 and has led various ministry roles before landing in this position. He was a church planter in the Upper Peninsula and also on staff as the executive pastor at a church in Cadillac, MI. Scott originally hails from northern Canada and enjoys the “Deep South” of southern Michigan. He and his wife, Tressa, have three children, and in the few moments of free time that he has, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and drinking a double-double from Tim Horton’s.
Chris joined the Encounter Team back in 2015, taking on his first ministerial position upon graduating from Rochester College. Shortly after, he married his childhood sweetheart Brooke, and adopted their first child, Addison, a yellow Labrador retriever. Chris enjoys the finer things in life, relaxing on a golf course, playing softball, playing basketball…taking part in pretty much any athletic activity actually. However, his favorite thing to do is play music.
Jan has been working at Encounter Church since 2012. She does a great job of keeping Pastor Scott and the rest of the Encounter Team focused while helping accomplish the vision and mission of the church. Jan and her husband Dale raised four children and have twelve grandchildren. During their spare time, they enjoy bowling in a league, snowmobiling, four wheeling, and boating with their children and grandchildren.
Rebekah, along with her husband Earl Lovejoy, joined Encounter Church a couple of years ago as faithful attendees. They are active members in various types of ministries, including singing with the worship team on Sundays and volunteering at several church events. In 2017 she joined the Encounter Team as part of the custodial staff, helping to maintain a clean and healthy worship environment. Rebekah and her husband enjoy fishing, boating, and spending time with their children.
